Star Fox had, along with other contemporaries, pushed 3D gaming into the mainstream eye only years earlier, and if Star Fox 64 wasn’t as important to that shifting scene, it would certainly find refuge in the fact that it was a much more solid space shooter. To those who haven’t had the pleasure of blowing Slippy the Toad’s starcraft to pieces, don’t let the short story throw you off, because a slew of sublime gameplay grafts, immersive graphics and sound, and appreciated multi-player mode and rumble option make this, still, 15 years later, easily one of the finest in its class and the paramount product of addictive arcade action.”
