Time To Return
Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima and horror film genius Guillermo del Toro are working together to bring us a new Silent Hill game, Konami has announced.
Revealed at the end of the interactive teaser demo P.T., which is available to download now, Silent Hills features the likeness and voice acting of Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon in ABC’s The Walking Dead.
The game will run on Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine, which also powers Kojima’s other big project Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
How representative of the game the teaser actually is remains unclear, however. No concrete information about the game has yet been revealed and a message at the end of the demo states: “This game is a teaser. It has no relation to the main title.”
Del Toro, perhaps best known for Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim and the two Hellboy films, has directed several well-loved Spanish language horror films such as The Orphanage and Cronos, so his involvement spells good things for the future of the Silent Hill series.
